DETALLES
Turmalina Coffee is a 100% Colombian coffee from the mountains of Altos del Rayo, in the municipality of Andes, Antioquia. Grown at Finca La Gabriela by coffee producer Héctor Restrepo Vélez, this coffee reflects the tradition, care, and excellence of one of Colombia’s most respected coffee regions.
This lot is made from the Castillo Rosario variety and selected as Malla 17/18 Tipo Excelso, known for its larger bean size and refined cup quality. The coffee has received a quality score of 87 points, surpassing the 86-point benchmark commonly associated with excellent specialty coffee, and has earned recognition for its outstanding quality.
Every four harvests, the coffee trees are renewed through soqueo, a traditional pruning and renovation method that helps maintain plant health, productivity, and long-term cup consistency.
Roasted in Andes, Antioquia by expert roasters at Cabrestro Coffee, and milled, transformed, and packed by Luis Bernardo Valencia and Francisco Restrepo Velásquez, two retirees who decided to begin a new entrepreneurial journey rooted in Colombian coffee.
The result is an elegant, aromatic, and balanced Colombian coffee with authentic origin, character, and dedication in every cup.
