Discover the Essence of Dos Juanes' Exotic Coffees
We sat with the founders of Dos Juanes Coffee to learn more about the project that started in 2023.
We have always been driven by the desire to share our rich coffee heritage with the world. Bound by a friendship of over 10 years, we've shared games, laughter, and dreams since we were children. Now, we share a purpose: to offer Colombian specialty coffee experiences that not only delight but also tell a story. Both born in Bogotá, we grew up in the same neighborhood, attended the same school, and have shared special moments ever since.
Despite not being from a coffee-growing region, we became intrigued by the world of coffee in 2022 when we tasted and discovered specialty coffee for the first time. From that moment, we began to delve deeper into the subject, developing a passion for coffee that made it a fundamental part of our daily routines. We learned about different preparation methods, roasting, varieties, origins, and more. Our love for coffee grew so much that we decided to create "Dos Juanes," a brand that promotes the best Colombian specialty coffee, primarily in the United States market, since I (Juan Daniel) have been living in Texas since 2021. We started formalizing our brand in 2023, believing that each cup of coffee should be a unique experience. We are dedicated to ensuring that each sip transports you to the mountains of Colombia, where the passion and art of coffee are lived daily. Our commitment is to quality, authenticity, and providing an exceptional experience for our customers.
We want each cup of Dos Juanes to be more than just a moment of enjoyment but also a connection to a broader story—one of friendship, culture, and tradition celebrated in every roasted bean. It's a way of living and appreciating this gift of nature.
At Dos Juanes Coffee, we're passionate about redefining your coffee experience. Our exotic and special processes transform each cup into a sensory journey, connecting you with Colombia's deepest roots and authentic flavors.

The Art of Exotic Coffee Processing
What makes our coffees truly exotic? The answer lies in our commitment to 100% natural methods, such as osmotic dehydration. This innovative process allows coffee beans to absorb natural flavors from local fruits without the use of chemicals or artificial techniques, creating unique flavor profiles you won't find anywhere else.
Our Exceptional Coffees
Geisha: Natural Elegance
Our Geisha is more than a coffee; it's an experience. Grown at Finca Lusitania, located in Caicedonia, Valle del Cauca, at 1,650 meters above sea level, this coffee benefits from a slow ripening that concentrates sugars and enhances its quality. We use the natural process, leaving the bean to dry intact to preserve all its floral and fruity notes. The result is a coffee with a creamy body, bright and balanced acidity, and a flavor profile that includes hints of jasmine, lime, and chamomile.
Peachy and Strawblush: Fruity Innovation
From Finca La Sirena, on the outskirts of Armenia, Quindío, we bring you Peachy and Strawblush, two Castillo variety coffees transformed through osmotic dehydration. By co-fermenting the beans with peach and strawberry pulp respectively, we enable the coffee to absorb the natural components of these fruits. Peachy offers notes of peach yogurt and a sweet, intense aftertaste, while Strawblush delights with floral aromas, notes of dulce de leche and red strawberry, complemented by a creamy essence and fruity aftertaste.
The Regions and Their Influence
The privileged location of our farms plays a crucial role in the quality of our coffees. The high altitudes and ideal climate of Caicedonia and Quindío favor optimal ripening of the coffee cherries, resulting in beans with complex and exceptional flavor profiles.
Roasting: The Final Touch
To highlight the complexity of our coffees, we use a medium roast. This roasting level allows you to fully enjoy all the nuances and aromas, offering an unparalleled sensory experience. Our Geisha is roasted on its own farm by Alejandro Macias, 2023 National Cupping Champion and 2023 Global Roasting Champion at the Producer & Roasting Forum.
Brewing Recommendations
To make the most of our exotic coffees, we recommend brewing methods such as drip, Chemex, Aeropress, Pourover, V60, or French Press. These methods enhance the flavor profiles and allow you to appreciate every note and aroma in your cup.
Sustainability and Social Impact
At Dos Juanes, we not only focus on offering exceptional coffees but also on sustainable practices and positive social impact. Our 100% natural processes reduce environmental impact and protect biodiversity. We work directly with small local producers and farmers, ensuring fair trade that improves their living conditions and contributes to the development of coffee-growing communities in Colombia.
An Anecdote: The Birth of Our Fruity Coffees
One of our favorite stories is how the idea of osmotic dehydration was born. During a visit to a farm in the Colombian mountains, we met a producer named Juan who was experimenting with local fruits to influence the coffee profile without chemicals. Inspired by his innovation, we decided to implement this technique at Dos Juanes. Today, we continue to collaborate with him and other farmers, creating coffees that connect the flavors of the region with completely natural processes.
We invite you to discover and enjoy the exotic coffees of Dos Juanes. Each cup is a celebration of tradition, innovation, and commitment to excellence. Immerse yourself in a unique sensory experience and be part of our story.
