The Huila region, located in southwestern Colombia, is the birthplace of the Central an Eastern Cordillera mountain ranges the frame the majestic Magdalena river.

The Eastern Cordillera serves as a natural barrier against the Amazon region's heavy rains and cloudy conditions, making it the ideal soil for a balanced coffee.

Most strong coffees are produced in this region of the country due to an increased solar radiation which causes the coffee plant to work in a more relaxed way, developing more bitter.
